Devlog NxCK SMP week 2-3.

Good night everyone, This marks the start of week four, so I think I should get an update up for everyone.

To start off, Week 1's devlog is here if you're interested in seeing what was finished within the first week.
2nd off, I decided to not post last week (week 2) as it would've been a rather short devlog and I don't think that would've been very interesting, so I decided that I could merge week 2 and 3 together.


Finished tasks:

In the two previous weeks, I've managed to get even more finished, but there are still some things missing.

  • No plugins are throwing errors anymore, with all but one plugin being functional. The last plugin, currently not working at all is a fairly important plugin for staff to be able to do their moderation duties,
    so I'd prefer if we got that working before season two starts, but it's unfortunately limited right now by the speed of how fast the developers are able to update it to support 1.21.4.

  • Permissions for the previously requested (and already added features) of custom images, alongside a Head Database (for decoration) is now set,
    I will be thinking over if adding some heads to the wandering traders instead of being free in a GUI would be better.

  • The spawn location has been decided, but I've come to the conclusion that doing a default spawn build may actually not be what we want.
    Season 2's spawn will now be built by the players, alongside (hopefully) a prospering shopping district for players to sell items they want to this time, as noone used it in Season 1.

  • Geyser, our cross-play compatibility system has now been added to the Season 2 server. Crossplay will be available from the start of season 2.'


In-progress Tasks:

  • The /bank and /help commands and menus are in the process of being updated and reworked. Have been tinkering around with different styling ideas, but still unsure.

  • Multi-version compatibility: Backwards-compatibility is currently planned in the works, obviously Forwards-compatibility as well once a new version releases.
