Good night everyone, This marks the start of week six, so I think I should get an update up for everyone.
To start off, last devlog is here if you're interested in seeing what was finished right before the end of last year.
2nd off, I'd like to remind everyone that if you're interested in joining this season, please make sure to join the Candy Kachi Discord server.
I'd also like to mention that if you are part of the server or plan to be part of it and am not happy with some of the features, please don't hesitate to open a feedback post on the CK discord regarding the feature(s) you'd like to see a change to, or dont like the change of.
Finished tasks:
In the two previous weeks, I've managed to get even more finished, but there are still some things missing.
- All plugins are now working.
- This means that there is now no technical limitations for how long more we need to wait before Season two opens,
other than obviously working more on polishing the features we currently have alongside possibly adding more in the time that is available.
- This means that there is now no technical limitations for how long more we need to wait before Season two opens,
- /bank menu is now reworked and finished, there has been a number of changes to this feature
- Removed Iron and Gold as convertable valuables as I'm concerned that large-scale farms can and have impacted the economy greatly.
This remains especially true with season two putting more of a focus on player-owned shops around the world spawn. - Following the changes to what valuables are available to convert, I have decided to change the worth of the remaining convertable valuables a little to make it more straight-forwards.
- The menu design has had a great redesign following the removal of Gold and Iron as there's not as much space needed for holding those items anymore.
During this redesign, I decided that having two buttons per valuable is more than enough, and does look a fair bit cleaner as well (1 Ingot/item & 1 Block).
The design change can be viewed here; Keep in mind that this is a work-in-progress preview, so changes may still occur.

- Older version compatibility.
- With Season 2 it is now possible to log on-to the server with versions as low as 1.9!
Please keep in mind that versions lower than 1.21.4 is not fully supported and will lack features, blocks and may have graphical issues with some of the more custom map-images, custom decor heads, etc. Notably, for versions 1.16 or lower, blocks under the Y height of 0 is not visible.

In-progress Tasks:
All previously In-progress tasks has been finished in these two weeks, no new tasks has been started as I caught a cold as I'm wrapping up week 5, alongside preparing for end-of-year school stuff.
Planned Tasks:
- Do a full test on the capabilities and possible issues reverse-compatibility brings.
- While the reverse-compatibility is added already, it's not yet been tested due to the issues I mentioned above in the empty In-progress tasks section. I plan to do this before next devlog publishes.
- Test/fix possible broken permissions for the decorative heads.
- When I was initally working out setting up the decor heads, it appeared as though the permissions wouldn't stick properly, I'll need to take a deeper look into this.
- Review the current player reporting, punishment and review system. (Essentially every staff procedure alongside the player-interactable side of them)
- I want to review them to make sure that the current systems and how they're set up is able to produce efficient and easy-to-use results and usage. As the staff systems hasn't been required much,
as there hasn't been many rule breakers other than a few ugly words here and there, there hasn't been much of a need for full-on procedures or guidelines, but as I am also preparing to scale the server up, I believe it's high time.
There's also been plenty of extra new applicants following the announcement of the new season already, which I'm very grateful for.

That's it!
Thanks for the love and support you've given us so far 😃, I hope you enjoy playing with us in Season 2.
